The sampler is the main part of Factory; it is in the "Sampler" window. It can contain 8 to 30 tracks fully independant (see "Setting Hit Factory VST" chapter). Each of theses tracks is represented by a rectangular drawing in the window.

To access to the functions of a track, click on the top button (the one with a green triangle)of this track. A submenu appears:
Loading and deleting sounds:
• In order to load a sound on a track and use it as a sample, select "Load sample or bank...". In the open dialog, select the sound you wish then click on"Load". This files must be in System 7 or AIFF sound format. Note that the "Load Direct To Disk..." menu item is explained at the end of the chapter "The Direct To Disk".
• To load a Bank file, do the same thing.
Note: You can avoid the open dialog and go really fast if you use the "Fast load" item. It lists all the subfolders and their sound files contained in the folder defined as the master sounds folder (see "The preferences" chapter). If you choose that way to load a sound and if a sound is already playing on a track, it will be closed whereas the one you have selected is loaded and automaticaly starts playing.
• To delete the sound loaded on a track, choose "Close file" in the submenu. The memory it used is free again.
